With this limited edition, ZENITH wanted to celebrate 1955, a year of utter success for ZENITH. A year marked, amongst other things, by Albert Einstein's death, Rosa Park fighting against racism sitting in a bus traditionally reserved for whites, Grace Kelly falling for the charming Prince Ranier of Monaco, James Dean the icon of living fury as well as the elegant Clark Gable and Cary Grant.

All of the aesthetics of the 50s was reinvented to create this mythical and timeless piece. A redesigned rose gold case in contrast with the smooth gray dial, Delta indexes and a convex glass, assembled with nostalgia in order to obtain a perfect equilibrium. ZENITH thus pays homage to a historical model by the Manufacture. In fact, the old version housed a 135 caliber, a manual movement chronometer, one of the best known in the history of watchmaking. For 5 years in a row (from 1950 to 1955) this movement was awarded the prize by the Neuchatel Chronometry Observatory. Wearing a New Vintage 1955 is reliving a bit of history.
